Hospital CEO attends health care reform workshop

Southeast Missouri Hospital president and CEO Debbie Linnes was among a group of 30 national health care leaders participating in the Estes Park Washington Workshop held April 27 to 28 in Washington, D.C. The theme of the conference was "Reform and Changes in the Delivery of Care." The invitation-only workshop included discussion of health care delivery system pressures and opportunities and challenges caused by health care reform, particularly as it pertains to the delivery of care and patient safety.

Bold Marketing receives healthcare advertising awards

Bold Marketing LLC, a strategic marketing and communications firm in Cape Girardeau, received three awards at the 27th annual Healthcare Advertising Awards, sponsored by Healthcare Marketing Report. The awards were for marketing work with HillCrest Pointe, a local private behavioral health and substance abuse treatment center. Bold Marketing received a silver award for logo/letterhead, bronze for magazine single and merit for brochure. "It is an honor to be recognized nationally for our work with HillCrest Pointe," said Dana Hukel, president of Bold Marketing. "The team at HillCrest Pointe allows us to be innovative in our approach to marketing the facility."

HillCrest Pointe earns state certification

HillCrest Pointe of Cape Girardeau, a private behavioral health and substance abuse treatment facility, has earned state certification by the Missouri Department of Mental Health, Division of Alcohol and Drug Abuse for meeting or exceeding Missouri's compliance requirements for psychiatric and substance abuse programs, the certification standards for alcohol and drug abuse programs, and general program procedures. The facility will soon offer medication-assisted treatment for opiate addiction, using the prescription Suboxone.

Three managers appointed at Sabreliner in Perryville

Aviation services provider Sabreliner Corp. in Perryville, Mo., has appointed three managers to its operations team. Victoria Colton was named director of quality and product integrity; Carol Ochsenfeld was named to the newly created position of director of supply chain and material management and Yvonne Jones was appointed to the new post of director of manufacturing engineering and planning. Jones is also charged with implementation of the company's new Lean Six Sigma manufacturing and quality program. Sabreliner Corp. is a provider of civilian and government aviation services. The company has maintenance, manufacturing, processing and repair facilities at three service locations in Missouri and one in Kansas. Its headquarters are in St. Louis.
