Cobb brings experience to Patrick Furniture's sales staff

John Cobb recently joined the professional sales staff at Patrick Furniture of Cape Girardeau. He brings 36 years of experience in the home furnishings industry. Cobb, a Cape Girardeau native, is a graduate of Central High School. He also attended Southeast Missouri State University.

Zaruba appointed general sales manager of FOX 23

Mike Smythe, General Manager of Sinclair Broadcast Group's FOX 23 KBSI-TV, has announced the appointment of Brad Zaruba as the new general sales manager for FOX 23 and MY 49 WDKA-TV in the Paducah, Ky., Cape Girardeau market. Zaruba started his television career in 1980 as a sports director at KPVI-TV in Pocatello, Idaho. In 1987, he took a position as sports director at WITN-TV in Washington, N.C. In 1987 Zaruba moved into WITN's sales department as an account executive. He later became regional sales manager after a brief time as an account executive at KUTV in Salt Lake City in 1998. In 2001, Smythe hired Zaruba to be the new national sales manager at KFVS-TV in Cape Girardeau. He attended Brigham Young University where he obtained a degree in communications with a broadcast journalism emphasis. Zaruba also served four years in the U.S. Air Force.

Saint Francis names Jason Bandermann as administrator

Saint Francis Healthcare System has named Jason Bandermann administrator for Physicians Alliance Surgery Center. As administrator, he is responsible for operations and strategic directions of the Surgery Center, which provides ambulatory surgical services in the following specialties: ear, nose and throat; general surgery; gynecology; ophthalmology; orthopedics; and retinal specialties. Bandermann joined Saint Francis in 2007 as a referral services manager in services to business. He later added the position of practice manager for Cape Diabetes and Endocrinology. Before joining the medical center, Bandermann was a math teacher at Central Junior High and a marketing specialist for Crader Distributing Co. in Marble Hill, Mo. He received a bachelor's degree from Southeast Missouri State University in 2003. He earned a master's in business administration from William Woods University in 2006. He is a Leadership Cape graduate and serves as chair of the Cape Girardeau Area Chamber of Commerce Health and Human Services committee. He serves on the board of directors for United Way of Southeast Missouri and the Gibson Recovery Center. He is also a member of the Cape Area Personnel Association.
