People on the move 3/30/15

Lucas Presson recently was named general manager of rustmedia, the full service advertising agency of Rust Communications.

Presson previously was editorial-page editor for the Southeast Missourian and special projects manager. He continues to serve on the newspaper editorial board and work on other newspaper projects, including the Semoball Awards, Spirit of America Award and management of Arrow Digital, which produces the student newspaper and news website for Southeast Missouri State University.

Presson earned an undergraduate degree in communication studies and a master's degree in business administration from Southeast.

Dr. James J. LaGuardia, MD, neurology, recently joined SoutheastHEALTH's medical staff.

LaGuardia is affiliated with Southeast Neurology.

He is a lieutenant colonel in the U.S. Army Reserves and before coming to Cape Girardeau served as a neurologist with the Veterans Administration Medical Center in Marion, Illinois, according to a news release.

LaGuardia has bachelor's degree from Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff, Arizona; earned his medical degree from the Tulane University School of Medicine in New Orleans; completed a surgery internship at Tulane University Affiliated Hospitals; and completed a residency in neurology at the University of Illinois at Chicago.

He also completed a fellowship in neurovirology at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center in Denver.
