Four area Miracle-Ear hearing consultants received Platinum Education Awards at the Missouri Hearing Society's annual meeting. Joyce Hill-Cooley of the Cape Girardeau and Jackson offices; Katie Isgriggs and Beth Eschmann of the Perryville office and Cynthia Bradley of the Farmington, Mo., office were recognized for obtaining 36 hours or more in continuing education.
Josh Joiner, of Anna, Ill., has joined Capaha Bank as assistant vice president and branch manager at Capaha Bank's Anna branch. Joiner is a graduate of Southern Illinois University and Anna-Jonesboro High School with more than seven years of experience in commercial sales and management. He looks forward to returning to Anna and is eager to provide a "Better Branch of Banking" to the Anna-Jonesboro Community.
Daniel C. Willingham of Cape Girardeau has joined Husch Blackwell LLP in St. Louis. Willingham will work with the banking and finance division where his primary responsibilities are advising individuals, companies and not-for-profit agencies in complying with tax codes at all levels. Willingham received his master's of law degree at Washington University School of Law of St. Louis in 2012, his juris doctor from the University of Missouri School of Law in Columbia, Mo., in 2011, his bachelor's from the University of Missouri-Columbia in 2007 and is a 2003 graduate of Cape Girardeau Central High School.
Dr. Michael C. Trueblood has announced his retirement after 35 years of practice as an orthopedic surgeon and service on Saint Francis Medical Center's board. He began practice in Cape Girardeau with Saint Francis in 1978. Trueblood has served on the board since 1987 and helped the hospital expand, adding more doctors, facilities and services. He completed his medical degree, internship and residency at the Vanderbilt University School of Medicine in Nashville, Tenn.
Richard R. Cuba of the Cuba Financial Group was awarded the Five Star Wealth Management Award by Five Star Professional. Cuba was recognized as one of the top wealth managers for his customer service and satisfaction. Cuba is a certified financial planner and certified wealth strategist.
Anessa Fritch was promoted to vice president of marketing for Cap America. Fritch's primary responsibilities will be marketing strategies, brand loyalty, social media, industry relations, advertising, websites and more. Fritch previously worked as director of sales and marketing for Cap America.
