Bruce Skinner, Southeast Missouri State University assistant vice president for student success, was selected to participate in Leadership Missouri. Leadership Missouri is a seven-month leadership enhancement program sponsored by the Missouri Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Thirty-six business and state leaders were chosen to participate.

Nicole Moore of Altenburg, Mo., completed Kaplan Financial's introduction to advanced markets course. The course teaches how small business owners and professionals can plan for succession, group insurance, executive bonus and split-dollar and qualified retirement plans. ServPro of Cape Girardeau and Scott Counties added two new staff members. ServPro specializes in the cleanup and restoration of residential and commercial property after a fire or smoke or water damage and offers mold and mildew remediation and carpet and duct cleanings. Joyce Porch of Jackson was hired as marketing representative. She has a background in marketing, sales and community education and will be responsible for education, branding, community involvement, event management and promotions. Porch will coordinate with insurance and real estate agents to ensure a positive client experience. Christy Moore of Cape Girardeau was hired as administrative assistant. She has experience in management and customer service and will be responsible for scheduling appointments and supporting both the sales and service teams. Moore will work with clients to schedule cleanup and restoration services.
Robert Dixon was named director of Ameren Missouri's SEMO Division in Cape Girardeau. Dixon was formerly superintendent of the company's Meramec Valley Division. With Ameren Missouri more than 33 years, Dixon began as a janitor and worked his way through the organization in a variety of positions, including lineman. A former marine, his two sons followed him into the corps and served in Iraq and Afghanistan. Dixon is excited about his new position. "We have very dedicated employees here and the entire community has been very welcoming. I'm proud to lead a team that is so focused on serving our customers," he said. He succeeds Jean Mason, who was named director of the metering and revenue protection department at Ameren Missouri.
