Logan Young has been named features editor at the Southeast Missourian newspaper.
In her new role, she will oversee feature sections such as Good Times and SELive while directing special publications such as Flourish magazine.
In naming Young to the position, editor Bob Miller commended her for the skills and leadership she showed while acting as interim features editor for several months.
"Logan brings a lot of common sense to the newsroom every day. She's a quick study, has good ideas, and she knows the community because she has lived here all her life," he said. "We're lucky to have Logan on our team, and we have a lot of confidence that she'll do a good job directing our coverage for our features sections and magazines."
Young also will continue to serve as content adviser for Southeast Missouri State University's student newspaper, the Arrow.
