Jefferson principal named Educator of the Year

The VFW Ladies Auxiliary recently presented Mark Cook with its Educator of the Year award. Cook is principal of Jefferson Elementary School in Cape Girardeau.

Immediate Convenient Care names new manager

William Gerry Keene III is the new manager of Immediate Convenient Care, 1702 N. Kingshighway. Keene joined Saint Francis Medical Center in 2004 as an administrative partner in the emergency department. He was named head financial counselor in the emergency department before moving to trauma and disaster services as a data analyst. Before joining Saint Francis, Keene served 10 years as a U.S. Coast Guard officer in Connecticut, New Hampshire and Louisiana. Keene and his wife, Inga, have two children.
