Bohnsack, Schlosser take new posts at bank
Alliance Bank, a Cape Girardeau-based bank with four area locations, announced that Craig Bohnsack has been named assistant vice president of commercial lending and Cathi Schlosser will be director of human resources. Bohnsack has eight years of banking experience and moves to Alliance from Montgomery Bank. Bohnsack will be based at the branch at 217 N. Kingshighway and will be responsible for commercial and middle-market lending. Bohnsack holds a bachelor of science in financial economics and a master of business administration from Southeast Missouri State University. Schlosser brings 10 years experience to her new position, most recently as director of membership development for the Cape Girardeau Chamber of Commerce.
Woodmen name group's rookie of the month
Kasey Mathes-Klughart of Benton, Mo., was named rookie of the month for the Missouri East Agency of the Modern Woodmen of America. The distinction is given to a representative who has been with Modern Woodmen for less than three years and leads the agency in production.
New salon opens on North Pacific Street
Two area hair stylists have struck out on their own to open a new salon, Bella Salon and Giftique, at 20 N. Pacific St. Kelley Callow and Carrie Myers, formerly of Concepts Styling Salon, are joined by Amanda Abner, also formerly with Concepts, and Ashley Essner and Lacey Landgraff to offer a full-line salon with hair coloring, extensions, manicures, pedicures and makeup.
Two local nurses certified as examiners
Nurse practitioners Kathy Blevins and Debbie De La Cruz of the Southeast Missouri Network Against Sexual Violence have received international certification as sexual assault nurse examiners. Blevins provides contract work for forensic evaluations of adult and child victims and received certification as a pediatric, adolescent and adult nurse examiner. De La Cruz provides contract examinations of adult and child victims and received certification as an adult nurse examiner.
Cape dentist heads state dental association
Dr. Shannon T. Kirchhoff of Cape Girardeau has been elected president of the Missouri Dental Association for 2007-2008. Kirchhoff, an orthodontist, holds a bachelor of science degree from Southeast Missouri State University and a doctor of dental surgery degree and a certificate of graduate orthodontics from the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Dentistry. He holds membership in numerous professional organizations, and in 2006 graduated with the inaugural class of the Missouri Dental Association Leadership Development Continuum. Kirchhoff operates practices in Cape Girardeau and Jackson.
