Just Kids has hired Amy Blackman as the new director of its East Main Street location in Jackson. Blackman previously served 11 years with the Southeast Missouri State University child care program, where she developed and implemented two university programs, assisted with grants and attained national accreditation for the program.
Saint Francis nurse practitioner earns transport certification
Marie Corzine, a Saint Francis Medical Center neonatal nurse practitioner and member of the neonatal transport team, has received her certificate of Added Qualification in Neonatal Pediatric Transport through the National Certification Corporation. The certification, which became available in August, is open to any nurse, nurse practitioner, physician, respiratory therapist, physician assistant or paramedic that participates in neonatal or pediatric transports and meets the eligibility criteria. Corzine joined Saint Francis in 2001 and has been involved in neonatal transport for 10 years.
