Dawn E. Dauer has been appointed community bank president for The Bank of Missouri in Cape Girardeau, replacing Maurice Sandfort, who will retire at the end of the year. His retirement concludes a 47-year banking career which began in St. Charles, Mo. He served as community bank president at Bank of Missouri since 2005. "I have really enjoyed being a part of the growth and success the bank has enjoyed over the past six years," Sandfort said. "I feel that I have served the last years of my banking career with a wonderful group of employees and I look forward to a new phase in my life, which includes travel and time with my wife, children and grandchildren." Dauer began her career over 21 years ago while in high school. After completing college, she began her career with The Bank of Missouri where she has remained for 14 years. She has a bachelor of science in management with an emphasis in marketing from Evangel University in Springfield, Mo. She graduated from the Missouri School of Lending in 2002 and the ABA Stonier Graduate School of Banking in 2006. The Bank of Missouri is an independent, locally owned and operated bank, chartered in 1891, with assets in excess of $850 million. It has service banks in Perryville, Cape Girardeau, Jackson, Marble Hill, Columbia, Springfield, Republic and Ozark, Mo.
Judy Aslin, RN, has been named vice president and chief nursing officer at SoutheastHEALTH effective immediately. Aslin most recently was executive director of the Southeast Cancer Center. She succeeds longtime vice president and chief nursing officer Dr. Karen Hendrickson, who retired in June. Aslin began her career at Southeast in 1983 as a nurse assistant. Over her 28-year career with Southeast, she has served in varying capacities including staff nurse, assistant nurse manager, departmental director, home care administrator, director of patient care services and executive director of the Cancer Center. As director of patient care services, Aslin's responsibilities included oversight of the quality of care, staffing, budgeting, nursing practice and compliance issues for medical telemetry, the surgical unit, orthopedic unit, psychiatric unit, infusion services, tumor registry and house supervisors/patient placement. Active in the community, Aslin is a volunteer for the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life and breast cancer awareness. In 2006, she received the American Cancer Society Volunteer of the Year Award for fundraising.
Gary Turner of Coldwell Banker Select Realtors, 1223 N. Kingshighway, in Cape Girardeau, recently attended Coldwell Banker Connect, a program developed as an orientation for new affiliates of the Coldwell Banker system as well as a refresher of the Coldwell Banker systems and tools for existing affiliates. The seminar was held Oct. 25-26 in South Bend, Ind. Coldwell Banker Select Realtors has been serving the Cape Girardeau/Jackson area for more than 25 years.
