Rotary award goes to Girl Scouts director
The Rotary Club of Cape Girardeau recently honored a longtime Rotarian with the Paul Harris Fellowship Award. Rotary Foundation chairman Trudy Lee presented the award to Denise Stewart, executive director of the Girl Scouts of Otahki Council. The Paul Harris Fellowship Award is given to a person who has donated more than $1,000 to the Rotary Foundation of Rotary International in his or her name. The award is named for the founder of Rotary International.
Cape Girardeau Burger King franchisee Dan Drury recently received the 2005 Burger King Brand Leadership Award, an honor presented by Burger King Corp. to its most outstanding franchisees. The award was presented to Drury at the recent Burger King Corp. Global Convention in Las Vegas. Only 16 franchisees in the world received the recognition.
Cell leader Dave Klueppel has been named Dana Corp.'s February Employee of the Month. Klueppel, of Benton, Mo., has worked at the Cape Girardeau facility since 1994.
Robinson Construction Co. of Perryville, Mo., has hired Michael Nesslein as a junior accountant and Jeff Ganime as a project manager. Nesslein recently received a bachelor's degree in business administration from Southeast Missouri State University. Ganime spent four years in the U.S. Army training and working on civil engineering projects. Most recently he was employed by a globally known contracting firm in Baton Rouge, La.
