Vincill Specialty Feed has opened in Cape Girardeau.
The pet food store, housed in the former one-room, Juden School No. 1 building, 900 W. Cape Rock, offers foods and supplies for all pets.
The structure was built in 1854 said Edwin Smith, owner of the new business, who has furnished the building with farm-related antiques.
Smith, who is an instructor in sculpture and art education at Southeast Missouri State University, also has a sculpture studio in the basement of the old building.
Smith raises exotic animals on his Amity Hills Farm, north of Cape Girardeau.
"I have big-horn sheep, llamas, Sicilian donkeys and some miniature horses," said Smith.
Smith's store will be open from noon to 6 Monday through Saturday.
