American Way Mortgage Co. has opened an office at 2037 Independence in Cape Girardeau. The new company, which provides home and home-improvement loans, is the first American Way facility in Missouri. The new company, which provides home and home-improvement loans, is the first American Way facility in Missouri.

The local branch, said House, is family owned and operated. House's wife, Charolette House, is chief financial officer, and a daughter, Shannon Rose House, is vice president.
A.A. Bada, executive vice president, visited the new branch last week.
American Way is headquartered in Memphis, Tenn.
