Homestead electronics opened recently at 3441 William in Cape Girardeau.
The new electronic business, the newest agent location for Ameritech Cellular and Paging specializing in cellular telephones and pagers, is a branch of Homestead Distributing of Sikeston.
Matt Raymond, who has five years Ameritech experience, is general manager, and Nickie Bouge is sales associate.
Hours for the new store will be 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, and 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday.
Grand opening week for the new store will be May 13-18. A ribbon-cutting ceremony will be held at 10 a.m. today
Homestead has five Ameritech sites in Missouri -- Homestead Distribution in Sikeston, an Ameritech agent since 1991; Homestead of Sedalia; Homestead of Warrensburg; and Homestead at Whiteman Air Force Base.
