Dona Flora Co. is expanding.
The company, now with a new name, Dona Flora Garden and Florist Shop, 1444 Independence, provides a full-service garden center with garden and lawn-care products, bedding plants and perennials, grown at a greenhouse facility on County Road 621.
The florist shop will offer ready-made foliage planters, flowering indoor plants and fresh flower arrangements.

Flowers and delivery service will be available in time for Mother's Day.
The business will observe a grand opening celebration April 14 through 21. Shop hours are 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Saturday. Sunday hours will begin in mid-April.
Donna J. Essner is owner of the business, and Kathy Menz is garden shop assistant manager.
