SunCom Wireless, a member of the AT&T wireless network Telecorp PCs held its grand opening recently at 350 N. Kingshighway.
The new company offers a variety of wireless services -- digital phone, voice mail and pager. During the grand opening ceremony, Jareth James, SunCom market director, announced that the company would donate digital wireless phones and service to nonprofit organizations in the Cape Girardeau area. Four phones were presented last week to Safe House for Women, Salvation Army, United Way and the American Cancer Society.
SunCom recently opened a regional headquarters office in Evansville, Ind., and is planning new stores throughout a four-state region. SunCom also opened an office for the Carbondale/Marion, Ill., market.
