Houchin's Do-nuts Drive In will open in Cape Girardeau Friday at the intersection of Kingshighway and Hopper Road.

"We make all kinds of donuts -- glazed and cake," said Sherry Johnson, an owner in the operation. "We'll also have custard and cream filled long johns, and Danish."

The business will feature a drive-up, but also have seating for more than 50 people inside.

Johnson is part-owner of Houchin's Do-nuts Drive In at Sikeston, Mo., a business that has been open for 42 years.

Jerry and Patsy Johnson, who has been in the donut business more than 35 years at Malden, Mo., will manage the Cape Girardeau store. Kenny Bridger of Bridger Construction Co., Sikeston is a partner in the business.
