NEW BUSINESS: THEATERS TO OPEN

Wehrenberg Theatres Inc. will open 10 of its new 14 screens at the 14-cine theater in Cape West Business Park this month.

Wehrenberg officials said last week they hope to open 10 of the screens July 25.

Details on movies on opening day will be announced later.

When the new complex opens, Cape Girardeau will have 23 screens, more movie screens than any city along or near Interstate 55 between St. Louis and Memphis and more than double the city's 10 screens.

Wehrenberg has a four-screen, 1,000-seat movie theater in an 11,800-square-foot area in West Park Mall, which will remain open.
