Madder Rose Antiques Mall opened in downtown Cape Girardeau last weekend, at 1 N. Main, in the building that previously housed Furniture Fair.

John and Evelyn Boardman are owners of the new mall, which includes dealers from Missouri, Illinois and Kentucky.

"We have 60 booths filled," said Evelyn Boardman, "and we have 30 glass showcases filled."

Items include furniture, glass, jewelry, paper Americana, military, toys and many other collectibles.

The new center, which stretches from Main to Spanish Street, includes booths and lighted and locked showcases. It is open from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday and noon to 5 Sunday.
