The Missouri Division of Aging recently ranked Beverly Healthcare of Cape Girardeau "deficiency free" during its annual nursing home inspection. Their process looks at eight areas, including administration, resident care, and environmental concerns. Beverly Health care also passed other stringent requirements such as those dealing with medication of residents, quality of life issues and building codes.
It is a 120-bed skilled nursing facility offering all rehabilitative therapies, including care of those with strokes, heart attacks, and hip fractures, as well as IV therapy needs. It has a dedicated 24-bed Alzheimer's unit and they offer respite services.
"It is a service that can be used for as little as an overnight stay or for several days time. It provides a temporary solution to some family's most difficult problems. We actually allow the primary caregiver an opportunity for some much needed time off," stated Tamra Carter, director of Nursing Services.
Beverly Healthcare is at 2852 Independence Drive in Cape Girardeau.
