The fourth annual Entrepreneurial Agriculture Conference will be held at the Ramada Inn in Sikeston Friday.
The conference will focus on value added enterprises for farmers in the Delta Region, which includes Missouri, Illinois, Kentucky, Arkansas, and Tennessee.
Rep. Jo Ann Emerson, R-Cape Girardeau, will be guest speaker at the 7 a.m. breakfast. Missouri Lt. Gov. Joe Maxwell will be luncheon speaker. A fee for meals, breakfast and lunch, is $15. Preregistration is requested, by calling (573) 568-3344.
Four legislators -- U.S. Sens. Kit Bond, R-Mo., and Blanche Lincoln, D-Ark., and representatives Emerson and Marion Berry, D-Ark. -- will present brainstorming sessions at 5:30 at the Ramada.
Following breakfast, four sessions will be presented on row crops, emerging industries in the Bootheel, new technologies and financing agribusiness.
