Small business classes offered by extension
The University of Missouri Extension Service is offering two classes for small businesses through the Small Business Development Center. The first, "Marketing — Think before you spend," will be at 6 p.m. April 23 at the Cape Girardeau County extension office at 684 W. Jackson Trail in Jackson. The class will focus on making good choices for limited advertising dollars and is sponsored by US Bank. The second offering is "Predicting future cash needs," a course designed to help small businesses write a budget, estimate future sources of cash and analyze cash projections. The class will be at 6 p.m. May 8 at the Riverside Regional Library in Benton, Mo. To register for either class, contact the extension office at 573-243-3581.
Roundtable for small business set for April 22
The Cape Girardeau Area Chamber of Commerce will offer a small business roundtable discussion at noon April 22 titled "Avoiding the top 10 financial mistakes of small businesses." Attendance costs $15, seating is limited and advance registration is requested. Jennifer Hendrickson of Hendrickson Business Advisers LLC will lead the discussion.
