ERA Cape Realty associates achieved a national award for 1994 contributions to the Muscular Dystrophy Association.

The company, 2121 Broadway, received the President's Cup Award during the 1994 ERA International Business Conference in Nashville, Tenn. ERA Cape Realty contributed $12,245 to the 1994 MDA fund.

ERA is the sixth largest corporate sponsor of MDA. ERA affiliates around the nation raised more than $2 million for the organization in 1994.

ERA Cape Realty associates sponsored three benefit events, and manned a VIP panel during the Labor Day Telethon to reach their contribution total.

The Visiting Nurse Association (VNA) of Southeast Missouri will observe 10 years of home care service during a special anniversary reception to be held Friday.

The reception will be held from 3 to 4:30 p.m. at the VNA office, 1143 N. Kingshighway in Cape Girardeau.

Marsha Holloway will be guest speaker at the Professional Secretaries International dinner meeting to be held Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. at Drury Lodge.

Holloway will discus the St. Francis Medical Center's Feel Good Program, which highlights fitness and good nutrition.

A Pear Tree Inn by Drury, a conversion from a Drury Thrifty Inn, has opened at Poplar Bluff.

The 78-room hotel near Business 60 and U.S. 67 North, underwent renovations of the front desk and lobby areas. A new breakfast bar was added to the lobby.

A 78-room Drury Inn opened this month at Frankenmuth, Mich.

Drury Inns Inc. owns and operates more than 65 Drury Inn, Pear Tree Inn, Thrifty Inn, Hampton Inn and Holiday Inn Express hotels in 11 states.

Massey Ferguson has introduced a new MF 399 Mudder tractor to its line.

The Mudder, available in a cab or footstep, is powered by a 95 PTO horsepower diesel engine, and is well adapted to vegetable or bedded farming, said Ivan Heuer of Heuer Sons Implement Co., a Massey Ferguson dealership in Cape Girardeau.

Lutesville Motor Co. Inc. of Marble Hill has been selected as one of the nation's outstanding Ford dealerships and will receive the Ford Motor Co.'s Distinguished Achievement Award for Quality.

The award is based on good management, merchandising and high quality standards and interests in rendering service to Ford owners.

Lutesville Motors was founded 60 years ago, in 1935.

"Exporting Basics" and "The Global Nature of Derivatives" are among topics to be discussed at International Business Day, to be held at the Office of Economic and Regional Development on Southern Illinois University-Carbondale campus April 21.

Speakers will include Pete Biebel, vice president and manager of A. G.
