When some people think of an eye doctor, their family Optometrist comes first to mind. Optometrists are the first line of defense against many eye problems that impair vision. Eye Consultants opened its doors in 1972, to fulfill this consultative roll in our region. Their vision was to provide the most comprehensive array of advanced eye procedures and treatments possible. Eye Consultants' mission to make comprehensive eye care available to the entire region came into crystal clear focus in 2008, when they merged with the highly respected Kies Eye Center, which had operated in Cape Girardeau since 1982. The merger, a dynamic blending of two successful practices, brought even more expertise under one roof at Eye Consultants, Inc.

The physicians that comprise Eye Consultants, Inc. are highly trained and experienced in their profession. They average over 22 years experience in ophthalmology and each of them has completed at least four years of college, four years of medical school, and four years of residency and internships relating to the diagnosis, treatment and surgery of the eye.
