The Cape Girardeau Area Chamber of Commerce will host an energy seminar from 8 to 11:15 a.m. June 23 at the Show Me Center. * Jackson Ad Agency to produce Case IH video: Relentless Media Productions of Jackson is creating a high definition video for Case IH Agriculture, a manufacturing company owned by Case New Holland, one of Fortune magazine's world's most admired companies in 2008.
Film production began May 4 in Iowa and will be finished in the fall. The video production will highlight some of Case IH's new equipment and the videos will be used to promote the new equipment through web, DVD, expos and possibly television.
"We are shooting the footage in HD using many similar film tools you would see in movies," said Drew Janes, owner and producer of Relentless Media Productions.
Relentless Media Productions is a creative marketing group with a focus in HD-video production, graphic design, web design, brand management and photography.
* New music instruction studio opens: Sound Start Musical Instruction is now open at 1213 N. Kings-highway, Suite 101. Owners Chase Wright and Ian Bolton offer guitar lessons as well as guitar supplies. Wright and Bolton have both played in local bands including Fists of Phoenix. Bolton currently plays with the group Oh for Audio.
"We've always played guitar and we want to give the opportunity to others because it's fun," Wright said. They hope to eventually add other instrument lessons. Lessons for children and adults are available by appointment Monday through Friday. For more information, call 450-2010.
* Renovations at Seyer's Garage: Seyer's Garage, 2334 Rusmar Ave., recently made additions to its facility. The building now has 14 vehicle bays and one additional car wash bay. The business was established in 1963 by C.J. Seyer and specialized in fleet service but also work on all varieties of cars and trucks. * Bank of Missouri recognized by SBA: The United States Small Business Administration recently recognized The Bank of Missouri as the No. 1 community bank lender in the St. Louis SBA District.
The award was presented by Dennis Melton, district director of the SBA, and was received by Keith McLaughlin, senior vice president of the The Bank of Missouri.
The session, called "Salute to Small Business Lenders Breakfast," was May 10 at the Crowne Plaza in Clayton, Mo.

* Chaffee Nursing Center deficiency-free in patient care: Chaffee Nursing Center, a skilled nursing facility operated by Americare, was recently deemed deficiency-free in the critical areas of patient care and life safety during a survey by the State of Missouri's Department of Health and Senior Services. The survey is conducted annually and is a comprehensive review of the facility's entire operation.
The survey examines quality issues relating to resident care, dietary, activities, housekeeping, life safety, and physical plant. The survey team consists of three nurses and an environmental sanitarian. Results are based on record and chart reviews, resident interviews, and three- to four-day on-site observations.
Chaffee Nursing Center is a 71-bed skilled nursing facility located on Highway 77 in Chaffee, Mo., and can be reached at 573-887-3615. The facility is operated by Americare, a Sikeston, Mo.-based long-term care provider.
