Sabreliner Corporation's strategic restructuring program, to focus on airframe and turbine engine services to corporate and government operators, has resulted in seven promotions in the company.

Named to newly created vice president positions were D. C. Iain Glendinning, Donald J. "Jim" Meier, Claire M. Stewart and Jack L. Vaughn. Promoted to directors of specific business area were Lonnie Thibodeaux, John Jelovic and Roger Renaud."When we sold our airline and cargo aircraft support business last summer, we committed to concentrating our resources on growing our two core businesses -- airframe maintenance and modification plus turbine engine overhaul and repair," said F. Holes Lamoreux, Sabreliner chairman and chief executive officer. "As part of that commitment, we have studied our corporate structure and made strategic organizational changes."Sabreliner, a diversified aviation maintenance and modification company, has 11 facilities in six states, including a branch at Perryville Municipal Airport.

Glendinning has been named vice president of operations for Sabreliner and Premier Turbines, and has overall management responsibility for operations in Perryville and Neosho in Missouri, Independence in Kansas, San Diego, Calif., and the company's St. Louis-Seeger distribution center. Glendinning, who has 25 years of aviation maintenance and modification experience, joined Sabreliner three years ago.

The Perryville facility employs about 250.

Meier, who joined Sabreliner in 1988, was promoted to vice president government services; Stewart, who has been with Sabreliner since 1991, is new vice president of materials and equipment; and Vaughn, who has been with the company 14 years, is vice president of corporate aviation marketing.
