BUSINESS PERSONNEL: PRESENTS PAPER IN FRANCE

Dr. Ed Masters of Regional Primary Care in Cape Girardeau recently presented a paper on human monocytotrophic ehrlichiosis (HME) at the an international conference on Rickettsial disease and the American Society for Rickettsiology joint meeting in Marseille, France. He also attended the ehrlichia workshop in France.

HME is an illness transmitted by ticks. Masters' paper was also published in the book, "Rickettsial Diseases at the Turn of the Third Millennium."

Masters also made presentations on Lyme borreliosis and other emerging tick-borne diseases in Munich, Germany, following the conference in France.
