Pruitt, a native of Sikeston, has 18 years of construction experience. He worked six years for the City of Sikeston, two of them as building maintenance supervisor.

In his new position, he will be inspecting new and renovated structures in Cape Girardeau. He will also do property maintenance inspection.

Pruitt fills the vacancy left by Rob Roberts, who was appointed as plan review specialist for the City of Cape Girardeau in August.
