Craig D. Schnuck, chairman and chief executive officer of Schnuck Markets Inc. of St. Louis, has been elected chairman of Food Marketing Institute's (FMI) industry relations.
FMI is a not-for-profit association comprised of 1,500 food retailers, wholesalers and their subsidiaries.
Schnuck is one of FMI's four vice chairmen. He will monitor and facilitate the relations between FMI and its suppliers, including the Grocery Manufacturers Association, the American Meat Institute and the Produce Merchandising Association.
FMI's member companies operate about 21,000 retail food stores with a combined annual sales volume of $220 billion.
Schnuck Markets operate 90 stores in Missouri -- including Cape Girardeau -- Illinois and Indiana.
