BUSINESS PERSONNEL: BAUSCH & LOMB EXECUTIVE

Dwain L. Hahs, formerly of Jackson, has become executive vice president and a president of Bausch & Lomb Eyewear, with worldwide management responsibility for the company's eyewear business.

Hahs joined Bausch & Lomb in 1977 and has held a variety of positions in sales, marketing and operations.

He has served as president of Bausch & Lomb Canada; vice president marketing for the former International Division, vice president-field operations and corporate vice president and president of the Europe, Middle East and Africa division. He was named senior vice president-international operations last year.

Hahs, a graduate of Jackson High School and Southeast Missouri State University, is the son of Cletus and Stellar Hahs of Daisy. He is married to the former Susan Thompson, daughter of Bill and Alice Thompson. The family has been living in England the past five years, moving to Rochester, N.Y., in July.
