BUSINESS PERSONNEL: ATTEND TAX INSTITUTE

William R. Schott and Harold G. Fallert, certified public accountants with Schott & Van de Ven, Certified Public Accountants, 1020 N. Kingshighway, recently attended a two-day, federal tax institute at Nashville, Tenn., sponsored by the Tennessee Tax Institute.

Schott, founder of Schott & Van de Ven more than 40 years ago, is the managing partner of the firm.

Schott recently earned a certificate of educational achievement in personal financial planning, from the American Institute of CPAs. To obtain the certification, Schott had to complete five courses of study. The final section was a three-day training session in Baltimore.

Fallert, an accountant since 1950, serves as tax manager.
