Wilbur Crowder of Chester, Ill., won a Magnavox 27-inch color television from Van Matre Buick, 511 S. Kingshighway, during the "Go for the Green" customer appreciation promotion.

The annual promotion is sponsored by Buick dealers nationwide. This is the first time a winner has emerged from the Cape Girardeau dealership.

State Reps. David Schwab of Jackson and Mary Kasten of Cape Girardeau have earned 100-percent pro-business voting records from Associated Industries of Missouri (AIM) and Missouri Businesses United (MoBiz).

Ratings are determined through legislative votes both on the floor and in committee on a series of critical employer issues identified as priority bills by AIM and MoBiz.

Also earning 100 percent ratings are Reps. Mark Richardson and Bill Foster, both of Poplar Bluff, and Pat Naeger of Perryville.

Other Southeast Missouri representatives and their ratings: Don Prost, Caruthersville, 91 percent; Larry Thomason, Kennett, 90 percent; Marilyn Williams, Dudley, 90 percent.

Peg Stanfield has been named supervisor of the Southeast Missouri Hospital Auxiliary's new Gift Shop.

The auxiliary has operated a gift shop at the hospital almost 40 years, but had never had a custom-designated area. The new shop will open Aug. 5, the same day Southeast Hospital opens its new lobby and Lacey's On The Hill Restaurant.

The Gift Shop is just off the hospital's main lobby. It will be open from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday and noon to 6 Saturday and Sunday.

Fresh and silk flower arrangements, toys, stuffed animals, sundries, handmade gift items and other gift items will be available at the shop.

Jonell McNeely of Fruitland, Environmental Sanitarian III for the Cape Girardeau County Public Health Department and a member of the Missouri Department of Health's on-site sewage team, has received the Governor's Award for quality and productivity.

The sewage team received awards at the Truman Building in Jefferson City and was then honored with a reception at the Governor's Mansion.

The team is comprised of 31 members from 12 different agencies, including the health department.

McNeely works primarily out of the Jackson branch of the county health center. The branch office is in the courthouse. The main center is at 1121 Linden in Cape Girardeau.

Pharmacist Dave Charlier of Medicap Pharmacy at Scott City received a President's Club award during the Medical Pharmacies Inc. annual meeting at West Des Moines, Iowa.

The award was presented for outstanding sales performances.

Medicap is a national franchise, headquartered in West Des Moines, with 165 pharmacies open or under development in 34 states.

Dr. Michael Wulfers of Cape Girardeau has been installed as a director of the Missouri Academy of Family Physicians (MAFP), which recently held its annual installation of officers at Tan-Tar-A in Osage Beach.

The MAFP is a state chapter of the American Academy of Family Physicians.

John Kasten of Cape Girardeau has rejoined AT&T Telephone Equipment, St. Louis District.

He will serve as sales representative from Perryville south to the Arkansas line and west to Poplar Bluff.

Kasten recently completed a workshop on AT&T equipment at Atlanta.

Bill Unger has been named manager at Plaza Tire Service Inc. in Sikeston.

Unger, who has served as assistant manager at the business 11 years, has more than 30 years of experience in the automotive and tire business.

Doyle E. Leine, Sedgewickville postmaster, has been elected president of Missouri Chapter 3 of the National Association of Postmasters of the U.S. (NAPUS).

He was elected for the 1977-78 term during the NAPUS Convention, held in Cape Girardeau.

Leine of Daisy has more than 25 years of service.

Lee Hermann and Ron Parker have received promotions with Papa John's Pizza.

Herman will become area supervisor for Papa John's, and Parker will become manager of the Cape Girardeau Papa John's on Aug. 1.

Hermann, who has worked for Papa John's four years, will be in charge of Papa John's restaurants in Cape Girardeau, Paducah, Ky., and Dyersburg, Tenn.

Barbara Larkins has joined Coldwell Banker Hamilton Realty as a sales associate at the Jackson office.

She previously worked with Manpower Inc. in Cape Girardeau.
