Vicki Frank has joined the Rehabilitation Service staff at Southeast Missouri Hospital to develop and manage cardiac/pulmonary rehabilitation services.
Frank, a registered nurse, has 15 years experience in cardiac/pulmonary rehabilitation. She has a nursing degree from Southeast Missouri State University and is certified as a physical fitness specialist by the institute of aerobics research.
Thomas G. Tucker, executive director of the Southeast Missouri Regional Planning and Economic Development Commission at Perryville, has been elected chairman of the National Association of Regional Council's Executive Directors Advisory Committee.
Tucker assumed chairmanship at the association's annual convention in Albuquerque, N.M. earlier this month.
Tucker has previously served the association as chairman of the rural regions membership section. He has also testified before Congress on behalf of the association and its membership concerning issues affecting rural America.
Thomas M. Meyer, a previous president of Missouri Association of Realtors (MAR), and Fred Neal, 1996 MAR president-elect, attended the recent MAR meeting at Columbia.
John Trucillo, vice president and chief economist of the National Association of Realtors, was guest speaker, discussing trends in the economic and international real estate market.
Claudia Murphy, who has been with South East Missouri Bank since it opened in 1981, was among employees honored by the bank recently.
Murphy received an onyx ring and engraved gold plate in recognition of her 15 years of service.
Six employees were recognized for 10 years of service and 19 were recognized for five years of service.
Brad Palmer, Kent Crider and Jim Modglin of KZIM Radio, Cape Girardeau, were honored recently in the Missouri Broadcasters Association Awards Competition, announced recently at Kansas City.
Palmer won first for sports play-by-play, and Modglin received a first for commercial production. Crider was selected medium market DJ of the Year.
Jerome Zimmer Sr., founder of Zimmer Broadcasting, was recognized for his lifetime achievement in the broadcasting industry and KZIM received the Griffin Award, for community service and involvement. KZIM received honorable mentions in four categories.
Hope Wagner plans to receive her private pilot license July 31.
Wagner who started flight training May 20 with Prestige Air Services, the Cessna pilot center for Southeast Missouri, had her first student solo flight June 13.
Her solo flight, under the guidance of Prestige Flight Instructor Alan D. Harris, came 12 hours after her first lesson.
Wagner will attend the University of Missouri School of Medicine this fall.
Prestige Air Service is at the Cape Girardeau Regional Airport.
