Ronnie Simmons has been named "Sales Person of the Year" for Auffenberg Automotive Network, which includes Auffenberg dealerships in Cape Girardeau, St. Louis, Farmington, Eldon and Washington.
Simmons, sales consultant at Auffenberg Chrysler, Plymouth, Dodge, Jeep and Eagle in Cape Girardeau, sold more than 175 cars and trucks last year and scored 98 of 100 in customer satisfaction. He was also recognized for a third straight year as Chrysler's "Customer One Certified Sales Consultant."
Simmons is currently completing requirements for certification by the National Automotive Dealer's Association. Certification requirements include testing in product knowledge, selling skills and legal and ethical considerations in customer treatment.
Mitzi Thomas Kuyper of Olive Branch, Ill., has been appointed supervisor of assessments of Pulaski County, Ill.
Kuyper's appointment was made by the Pulaski County Board of Commissioners.
Donna Stallings of Sikeston has joined the rehabilitation team at Health Facilities Rehab Services Inc., 137 Front St. in Sikeston.
Stallings, a graduate of Southeast Missouri State University with a master's degree in speech/language pathology and early childhood education, has more than 20 years experience.
She will work with patients exhibiting speech-language difficulties.
Debbie Long of Cape Girardeau has received certification from the Certification Board of Infection Control.
Long, infection control nurse at St. Francis Medical Center, had to complete practice and educational prerequisites and pass a written examination for certification.
Tawqana L. Wren of Jackson and Kathy L. Lankford of St. Marys, clinical partners/respiratory therapists at St. Francis, have completed respiratory therapist curriculum of the California College for Health Services, which offers home study education to health-care workers. Wren and Lankford are now eligible to take registry examinations of the National Board for Respiratory Care.
Dr. Michael Anderson, athletic director at the Kessinger Specific Chiropractic Clinic in Cape Girardeau, won first place in the Lifetime Drug Free National Championships in Cleveland recently.
Anderson of Jackson, a Kale certified specific chiropractor, completed a 750-pound squat, a 430-pound bench press and a 685-pound deadlift to win the 125-kilogram weight class.
Anderson, a former American Drug Free National Championship (ADFPA) collegiate national powerlifting champion, plans to participate in the U.S. Powerlifting Federation's National Championships at Philadelphia in July.
