Janet Esicar and David L. Shell have joined Capaha Bank, which will open soon at 3168 William.

Esicar, who has been in banking for 23 years, will be a vice president, and Shell, who has 14 years of experience in banking, will be senior vice president.

Esicar, who attended Southeast Missouri State University, has worked for First Federal Savings & Loan, First National Bank and most recently was a vice president of real estate at Boatmen's Bank in Cape Girardeau.

She will work in real estate and commercial lending at Capaha. She will also be instrumental in developing Capaha Bank's new home equity line of credit.

Shell, who attended Arkansas State University and is a graduate of the Colorado School of Banking, will also work in real estate and commercial lending. He will be headquartered in Cape Girardeau, will have bank management responsibilities at Capaha banks at Tamms and Cairo in Illinois.

He previously worked at Savings of America, Mercantile Banks and most recently was vice president and manager of real estate lending at Boatmen's Bank in Cape Girardeau.

Janice Copeland of Cape Girardeau has joined the full-time staff of the Visiting Nurse Association at Charleston.

Copeland, a registered nurse, completed her training of nursing through the Cape Girardeau Vo-Tech School and Southeast Missouri Hospital College of Nursing. She is experienced in a wide field of nursing, primarily dealing with the care of adult patients. She attends Southeast Missouri, completing work toward her bachelor's degree in nursing.

In her role as a VNA nurse, she will provide nursing services to homebound patients in Mississippi, Scott and New Madrid counties.

Emily Fuller, who joined Goody's Family Clothing in 1991, is manager of the new story that opened at Cape Girardeau.

Fuller worked with Goody's at Bowling Green, Ky., before transferring to the new store, which opened last week in the Cape West Business Park.

Seven Dana Corp. employees attended the recent spring conference of American Society of Quality Control.

Attending were Steve Doyle, Brenda Lair, Nick Hotop, Tim Wheetley, Pat Hagan, Larry Koehler and Rhonda Turner.

Conference topics included quality measurement, customer satisfaction and customer service.

Cathy Bruce of Kelso, a driver for National Carriers Inc., has completed 14 years of safe driving.

National Carriers, headquartered in Liberal, Kan., provides service to all parts of the United States and Canada.

Craig D. Schnuck, chairman and chief executive officer of Schnuck Markets Inc. of St. Louis, has been re-elected to the board of Food Marketing Institute.

Schnuck is a member of FMI's board-level Industry Relations Committee, chairman of the Uniform Code Council Inc., and a member of Efficient Consumer Response Executive Committee.

Schnuck Markets include 95 stores in Illinois, Indiana, Kansas and Missouri, including two stores in Cape Girardeau.

Billie Skelton, a tractor-trailer driver for United Parcel Services, has been recognized for completing 30 years of service.

Skelton of Scott City works out of the UPS facility at Sikeston.
