Richard W. Bradshaw of Oak Ridge has been named "Representative of the Year" by Prudential Insurance and Financial Services, 1020-B N. Richard W. Bradshaw of Oak Ridge has been named "Representative of the Year" by Prudential Insurance and Financial Services, 1020-B N. Kingshighway, Cape Girardeau, for outstanding sales and client service.

Bradshaw joined Prudential in October 1991 as a registered representative. He has qualified for a number of local and national awards as a member and fellow of Life Underwriters.

Norman J. Heuring of New Hamburg, a sales representative at Cape GMC-Pontiac Inc., has been named to the Pontiac Master Sales Guild for 1996. The award is made for outstanding performance in the areas of sales, product knowledge and customer satisfaction.

Heuring joined Cape GMC-Pontiac Inc. in 1987.

Susan Cole has been elected to an associate membership in the American Association of Neurosurgical Surgeons.

Cole, who has been with St. Francis Medical Center for five years, with primary responsibility of caring for patients with neurological problems was one of only 12 nurses nationwide elected to membership in the association.

Cole is a Clinical Resource Nurse II at St. Francis Neurosciences Institution. She also recently received designation as APR (Advanced Practice Nurse) by the Missouri State Board of Nursing

David L. Hahs, T. Ronald Hahs and Christopher K. Wallace were honored at a Northwestern Mutual awards luncheon recently at Old Warson Country Club in St. Louis.

David Hahs and Ronald Hahs were cited for qualifying for the 1997 Million Dollar Round Table. They are both life members and have each qualified for more than 20 years. Wallace was recognized for receiving the Pacesetter First 40 Award, for outstanding sales during an agent's first six months with the company.

David Hahs and D. Joe McKeon were honored by the company earlier at a dinner given by district agent and Mrs. T. Ronald Hahs at the Cake Girardeau Country Club.

David Hahs was the leader in sales of the Cape Girardeau District Agency for 1996, and McKeon received the "Bull O' The Woods," award for highest percentage sales increase for the final six months of 1996.

The local agency of Northwestern Mutual was founded in 1948 by M. Luther Hahs.

Chris Mudd is new president of the Perryville Chamber of Commerce.

Mudd was among new chamber officials installed during the group's annual meeting recently.

Other officers included Steve Lottes, vice president; Nancy Gualtney, secretary-treasurer and Charlotte Worrell, executive secretary. New directors installed were Ken Anderson, Scott Cooper, Donna Guemmer, Charlie Pavlovsky, Terry Carroll, Brian Dreyer, Ron Hohenadel and Dorothy Tisher.

Outgoing president was Vince Adelman.

Brian Shelton has been named public affairs specialist for State Farm Insurance Group at the company's regional headquarters in Columbia, Mo.

Shelton was previously a senior claims representative in the Cape Girardeau claims service center.

W.H. "Hence" Winchester was recently recognized by the Southeast Missouri Regional Port Authority for service.

Winchester served as chairman of the port authority, 1995-1996, and as vice chairman, 1993-1994. He received a plaque from chairman Kin Dillon.

Dr. Jai N. Dahiya, professor of physics at Southeast Missouri State University, was a speaker at the VIII Asia Pacific Microwave Conference, held in New Delhi, India, last month.

Dahiya presented a paper, "Precise Measurement of the Microwave Dielectric Relaxation in Selected Materials," at the conference. He also co-chaired a special session at the conference, along with a scientist from Germany.

More than 400 participants from 25 countries presented findings in the area of microwave technology during the four-day conference.

Claudia Murphy has been promoted to vice president and cashier at South East Missouri Bank.

The promotion was announced recently by bank president Steve Ketelsen.

Murphy has been with South East Missouri Bank since it was founded in 1981.

Cape Girardeau family physician Dr. Roderic C. Crist has been named medical director for Southeast Hospice, a service of Southeast Missouri Hospital.

Crist is affiliated with Midwest Physicians and Surgeons at 300-304 Mount Auburn Road and has been a part of the Cape Girardeau medical community since 1989.

Crist, as medical director, will be responsible for the medical supervision of the hospital program. He will work with the Southeast Hospice Interdisciplinary group and local physicians who refer to Southeast Hospital.

He succeeds Dr. Charles P. McGinty, hospice medical director. McGinty has served Southeast Hospice since 1994 and will continue his involvement with Southeast Hospice.

Southeast Hospice has provided support for more than 650 terminally ill patients and their families since 1986. The program serves all or parts of 10 Southeast Missouri counties.
