Roger Niswonger of Jackson has joined McDowell South Inc., 4670 E. Jackson Blvd., Jackson, as a sales representative.

Niswonger has 14 years experience in the automobile industry,

Michael Seib of Cape Girardeau has been named operations manager of Wolsey Investigation Service Inc., headquartered in Cape Girardeau.

Seib's appointment was announced recently by Jerry Wolsey, president of the company.

Seib will be responsible for daily field operations management, supervising more than 80 security officers stationed throughout the state.

Seib served 13 years with the Cape Girardeau Police Department, three of them as chief of detectives.

Wolsey Investigative Service provides investigative and security services in Missouri, Arkansas, Tennessee and Kentucky.

Laurel Hogan Adkisson, Susan Rogers and Geralyn Ziegler have received promotions at Commerce Bank, N.A.

Adkisson, of Cape Girardeau has been named branch manager at Commerce Bank's Main Banking Center in Cape Girardeau; Rogers, of Scott City, is new branch manager at Cape Girardeau North Banking Center, and Ziegler, of Cape Girardeau, is branch manager/financial services officer at Jackson.

The promotions were announced recently by Cord Polen, bank president.

Adkisson has six years experience in the banking industry. She joined Commerce Bank in 1992 as a financial service representative and was named financial services officer in 1996. Adkisson, a graduate of East Prairie High School and Southeast Missouri State University with a degree in marketing-management, previously served as marketing coordinator for the Cape Girardeau Convention and Visitors Bureau. She worked six years in sales management with the Holiday Inn in Cape Girardeau.

In 1996, Adkisson was named to the list of "Ten Outstanding Young Missourians," by the Missouri Jaycees. She is also a recipient of the Commerce Bank Commendation for Community Service.

Rogers has worked at Commerce Bank more than five years. She joined Commerce at Jackson in 1993 as a real estate loan officer. She was promoted to senior financial service representative in 1996. She is a member of the Cape Girardeau Chamber of Commerce.

Ziegler has more than 10 years experience in banking. She joined Commerce Bank in 1992 as operations manger at Cape Girardeau. She transferred to the Jackson Commerce Bank facility in December of 1994 as senior financial services representative.

Ziegler previously worked with the former First Exchange Bank for five years, as teller, teller supervisor and banking officer. She is a member of the Jackson Chamber of Commerce.

Rodney Carlson has been promoted to level III maintenance technician at Dana Corporation's Spicer Axle Division in Cape Girardeau.

Carleson started with Dana in 1997 as a level I maintenance technician.

A number of Associated Electric Cooperative Inc. (AECI) employees -- including some from the New Madrid Power Plant -- have been honored.

Edna Ellington, senior planning associate at New Madrid plant, was named "Employee of the Year" in a secretarial or clerical field. She has worked at AECI 26 years.

Joe Johnes, instrumentation superintendent at New Madrid, has been named "Supervisor of the Year."

Bob Brinkley, journeyman electrician specialist has been recognized as "Employee of the Year in a Vocational Field" and Larry Braun, principal performance specialist, has been named "Employee of the Year in a Technical Field."

Members of the New Madrid coal-yard maintenance crew -- Dickie Bodi, Les Brown, Harold Williams, Terry Redfering, George Broughton, Mike Brekcon, David Howard, Melvin Pobst and Doug Zilafro -- have been recognized as "Team of the Year."
