Two join Farmers Insurance Group
Brad Womack and Eric Michelsen have joined Farmers Insurance Group, 2137 William in Cape Girardeau, as sales representatives.
Womack, of Cape Girardeau, has six years of experience in the insurance industry as a claims representative. He is a graduate of the University of Missouri-Columbia.
Michelsen, of Jackson, has seven years of experience in the business as a claims representative.
Also in the office is Steve Brazil, who opened the branch there in 1992 and has been with Farmers Insurance more than eight years.
Farmers Insurance Group offers auto, home, commercial, and life & health insurance.
Bernachi joins new hair salon
Sherry S. Bernachi of Cape Girardeau has joined Kutter's Hair Salon, 1117 Broadway in Cape Girardeau.
Bernachi is a graduate of Stage One the Hair School in Cape Girardeau.
She specializes in relaxes, perms, hair treatment, hair styles and acrylic designer nails.
New members of St. Francis foundation
Kathy Swan, president of JCS/Tel/ Link and Donald L. Kaverman, Southeast Missouri State University Director of Athletics, are new members of the St. Francis Medical Center Foundation.
William H. Kiel, executive director of the Foundation, announced the two new members recently.
Swan, a native of Cape Girardeau, holds an associate of arts degree in nursing and bachelor of science degree in nursing form Southeast Missouri State University. She is also pursuing a master's degree in business.
Swan is a board member with the Cape Girardeau Chamber of Commerce, American Cancer Society, American Heart Association and Vision 2020 Community Relations Council.
Kaverman relocated to Cape Girardeau from Missouri Western State College in 1999, where he served as director of athletics four years. He has B. A. degree in business administration and a M.A. degree in physical education from Michigan State University. He is a member of several college athletic associations, including the NCAA Division II Nominating Committee. He also serves on the board of directors for the NACDA Division lI Athletic Directors Association and is a member of the Missouri Western State College Gold Coat Club.
Dowdy joins Meyer Realty
Vicky Dowdy has joined the sales team at Thomas L. Meyer Realty, 230 N. Sprigg St., in Cape Girardeau.
Dowdy has been a licensed Realtor since January.
Accountant honored by CPA society
William R. "Bill" Schott, certified public accountant with Schott & Van de Ven, Certified Public Accountants, was honored recently by the Missouri Society of CPA's for his work with Managing and Accounting Practice (MAP).
Schott, a founding member of MAP, has worked with the group 28 years. He recently achieved the designation, "Eagle."
Schott & Van de Ven, headquartered at 1020 N. Kingshighway, Suite D, has satellite offices in Marble Hill, Mo., and Marion, Ill.
Dalton joins Coldwell Banker
Ladonna S. Dalton has joined Coldwell Banker Hamilton Realty, 1223 N. Kingshighway, as a sales associate.
Dalton, a graduate from Cape Girardeau Missouri School of Real Estate in 1993, is certified as a Residential Referral Specialist (RRS).
She is a member of the Missouri Association of Realtors and is a multi-million-dollar producer.
Two return from Indiana, join Hill Realty
Stu and Linda Fenton have joined Hill Realty.
Janet Hill Barnhart, owner of Hill Realty, announced the Fentons' appointment recently, following their return from Indianapolis, Ind., where they had lived 17 years.
The Fentons have more than 30 years of combined experience in residential and commercial real estate, financing and property management.
Hill realty specializes in residential, commerce, industrial and acreage property.
Two complete training as private pilots
Kristen Lynn Walters of Jackson and Dr. Mohammad M. Shakil of Cape Girardeau, have completed private pilot training.
Kenneth M. Krongos, a certified flight instruction for Air Evac Aviation, Cape Girardeau, provided training.
Marvin Scott, local FFA Designated Flight Examiner, administered final testing for license. Walters completed testing for licensing Oct. 1. Shakil completed testing Oct. 8.
