Two new members, Dr. Dwight Johnson and Glenn Fronabarger, have been added to the Firstar Bank Board of Directors.
Lowell Peterson, Firstar president, announced the new members recently.
Johnson has practiced family dentistry in Jackson, Mo., for 28 years. He has been active in the American and Missouri Dental Associations, and has served in leadership positions at the Southeast Missouri Medical Center.
Fronabarger operated several business, regionally and in the Jackson community. He is president of Fronabarger Concretors. He is also active in management of Marway Development, Shawnee Square Car Wash and Independence Square Car Wash.
New vice president joins Peoples Bank
James K. Sander of Jackson has joined Peoples Bank of Altenburg, Mo., as vice president and loan officer, and will be working at the Jackson facility.
Sander has 35 years of banking experience and is a graduate of the Graduate School of Banking at Madison, Wis.
Sander, a lifelong resident of Cape Girardeau County, is an officer with the Fruitland Fire Department, serves on the SEMO District Fair Board, and is a member of the Jackson Chamber of Commerce.
Retired employees elect chapter president
James E. McDonald, retired from the U. S. Department of Labor, has been elected president of the National Association of Retired Federal Employees (NARFE), Chapter 626. Association meetings are held the first Wednesday of each month from 12:30-1:30 p.m. at the Cape Girardeau Senior Center.
Truck drivers earn awards at banquet
A number of drivers for Genesis Transportation Company Inc. of Cape Girardeau received safe driving awards from the American Trucking Association and Great West Casualty Company during the Genesis Company's annual Safety Meeting and Awards Banquet.
Harold Lindsay of Dexter, Mo., received a 24-year award.
Vernon Davis of Anna, Ill., received a 23-year award.
Otis Johnson of Parma, Mo., and Henry Winters of Cape Girardeau, both received 16-year awards.
John Crockett of Chaffee, Mo., received a 14-year award.
Bob Mathis of McClure, Ill., received a 13-year award.
Virgil Null of Cape Girardeau received a 12-year award.
Gary Petzoldt of Jackson received an 11-year award.
Steve Haggard of Marble Hill, Mo., received an eight-year award.
Roger Bennett of Olive Branch, Ill., Kenneth Foltz, of Tamms, Ill., both received a nine-year award.
Jim Pate of Scott City, Mo., earned an eight-year award..
Russell Myers of Zalma received a five-year award.
David Farrow of Jackson earned a three-year award.
Gustav Wischmann of Jackson received a one-year award.
Safe Worker Awards were presented to shop personnel George Green of Advance, Mo., Martin Van Gennip and Tom Wright, both of Cape Girardeau.
One-million mile driver awards were presented to Johnson, Crockett, Null, Petzoldt and Haggard. Two-million mile awards were presented to Davis and Lindsay.
Dutch Realty expands its staff by five
Century 21 Dutch Realty has expanded its staff, adding five new agents provide more than 70 years of combined real estate experience.

Tony Lape of Jackson, who has been in the real estate business more than 15 years, the last as a full-time agent.
Ken Howard of Jackson, who has been in real estate 20 years, and was "Realtor of the Year" in 2000.
Paul Sander, a native of Jackson has been in real estate more than five years.
Tom Jones, a native of the Jackson area, owns and operates Jones Auction Services, and has been in real estate more than 20 years.
Jerry Stoverink, who owns Stoverink Construction and has been involved in real estate and development business more than 10 years.
Jackson man finishes auctioneer course
Joe Randol of Jackson recently completed a course in auctioneering and auction sales management at the Missouri Auction school at St. Joseph.
Randol received his diploma and the honorary title of colonel, following the nine-day school.
Auctioneer training included lectures and workshops. Randol participated in numerous public auctions, selling antiques, livestock, furniture, business liquidations and real estate.
