BUSINESS MEMO: TWO HONORS FOR DAIRY

Turner Dairies Inc. of Sikeston has won two big awards.

The dairy is winner of the Quality Chekd Dairies' Harley F. Zimmerman Award for marketing excellence and the Sikeston Area Chamber of Commerce's "Employer of the Month" award in April.

The "Zimmie Award" recognizes the Turner company for its marketing programs that meet defined sales and profit objectives through well-planned strategies.

One of the strategies, developed by sales representative Kathy George, links Turner Dairies with Sikeston-based Tetra Pak, which makes milk cartons for the dairy.

"Support Jobs in Your Community," is the subject of the special program, designed to accent the need for the community to support its local economic base to provide for growth land stability.

The promotion includes signs for stores that sell Turner Milk packaged in Tetra Pak cartons. The signs depict a cow shaking hands with a milk carton.
