"Acquiring the Tools to Build Our Tourism Future" is the theme of the second annual tourism conference to be held Friday at Show Me Center in Cape Girardeau.

"We'll be discussing some very hot topics in the tourism industry," said Dr. Mike Yuan, a professor in the health and leisure department. "The purpose of the conference is to provide the region with the tools to effectively help them plan and develop tour opportunities.

Cost of the conference is $10, which includes lunch and two workbooks on tourism planning.
