Earnings per share totaled $1, up 12 percent over the same period a year ago. This included a small non-recurring gain o the sale of Dana's brake hose business.
A local Dana facility is the Spicer Axle Division in Cape Girardeau.
Dana is a leading global supplier of original equipment components to vehicular, industrial and mobile off-highway markets and their related after-markets. The company, founded in 1904, operates in 30 countries and employs more than 50,000 people. Dana reported record sales of $83. billion in 1997.
