BUSINESS MEMO: RAYCOM MEDIA EXPANDING

Raycom Media, parent company of KFVS-TV in Cape Girardeau, has announced some new acquisitions.

Raycom has entered into an agreement with Belo-TV, to purchase KASA-TV, the Fox affiliate in Albuquerque, N.M., and KHNL-TV, an NBC affiliate in Honolulu, along with rights under the Time Brokerage Agreement with KFVE, the UPN affiliate in Honolulu.

Pending FCC approval, Raycom will own or manage 34 television stations, two radio stations and Raycom Sports, a marketing, production, events management and distribution company.
