The Missouri Society of Certified Public Accountants (MSCPA) will conduct monthly interactive course telecasts at Southeast Missouri State University.

The local university is one of four sites selected for the monthly seminars, which will feature topics of interest to area accounting professionals seeking continuing Professional Education Credits.

Dr. Debbie Beard, chair of the Department of Accounting, Finance and Business Law, said the program is one part of the plant to better serve the Southeast Missouri region and for the MSCPA to expand its services.

Nine CPAs attended the first seminar last month, entitled "Aggressive Tax Planning."

Two more teleconferences will be this year, "1996 Tax Update," Nov. 20, and "Advanced Estate Planning," Dec. 18.

Other teleconferences are scheduled through May.
