Manpower Inc. observes its 50th anniversary this year.
The temporary services company, which provides jobs to more than 1.5 million workers worldwide, 742,000 in the United States, was founded in 1948.
The company, headquartered in Milwaukee where the company was founded, has more than 2,500 offices in 45 countries, with more than 1,000 offices in the United States, including Cape Girardeau, Poplar Bluff and Sikeston.
The Cape Girardeau office was established in 1990.
From 700 to 1,150 workers are assigned weekly in Southeast Missouri and from 500 to 800 from the Cape Girardeau office, 100 to 200 from the Sikeston office, and from 75 to 100 from the Poplar Bluff office.
Peggy Gates is district manager for Southeast Missouri, Anita Hillin is Cape Girareau branch manager.
