Supervalu has leased office space at 2110 Main St., in Scott City.
Tom Kelsey, broker with Lorimont Place Ltd., disclosed that office space had been leased to the giant grocery store distributor for its regional military distribution division.
This section of the company handles distribution of products primarily to government and military users.
Supervalu will occupy the new office this month.
Supervalu, headquartered in Minneapolis, announced in February it would close its grocery distribution center warehouse at Scott City this summer. The warehouse has been in operation almost 40 years and employed about 160 people.
Supervalu began its Scott City operations as Wetterau Inc. The two businesses merged in the mid-1990s. Supervalu was then the No. 2 food wholesaler and Wetterau ranked No. 4. Now the company is the nation's largest food distributor and the 10th largest supermarket retailer.
