More than 300 business leaders from Missouri are expected to attend the Missouri Chamber of Commerce's eighth annual Chamber Day at the Capitol Wednesday.

"Go the Extra Mile" is the theme of this year's meeting at the Capitol Plaza Hotel in Jefferson City.

Gov. Mel Carnahan will welcome the group, which will have an opportunity to discuss concerns with senators and representatives during a panel featuring state legislators from 9 to 11:30 a.m. at the Capitol Plaza.

Lunch at the Governor's Mansion begins at noon. A question-and-answer session with Carnahan and Mrs. Carnahan will begin at 1 o'clock. on the third floor of the Mansion.

At 1:30, a panel of Senate and House leaders will discuss pending legislation and other issues of statewide interest.
