Ray Nabors, entomologist at the University of Missouri Delta Center at Portageville, will conduct beekeeping courses at four county extension centers, including Cape Girardeau County.
The local seminar will be held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. March 14 at the Jackson Extension office.
Topics include lectures on introduction to beekeeping, the life cycle of the honey bee and honey bee management. Slide shows and demonstrations of beekeeping equipment will be provided.
Other courses will be offered in Hickory County at Hermitage, Adair County at Kirksville and Marion County at Palmyra.
