BUSINESS MEMO: BBQ FEST SPONSORS

The Cape Girardeau Chamber of Commerce's fifth annual Cape BBQ Fest is history, and planners are already looking to the sixth annual event next Aug. 21 and 22.

Special assistance at the barbecue contest was provided by the Cape Girardeau County 4-H Junior Leaders, Eric Sievers, Adria Meyr, Andy Clark, Leah Ruesler, Manda Brunke, Natalie Ruesler, Andy Cook, Ben Meier, Zack Ruesler, Adam Meier, Denise Aufdenberg, Elmer Riesenbichler and LaFern Schoen.

Bob Tucker, Wendell Mueller and Jo Perry Rice were co-chairmen for the 1997 event. Also assisting in the planning were Linda Minner, special projects director for the Cape Girardeau Chamber of Commerce, and members of the chamber staff, Wilma LeDure, Tonya Wells and Phyllis McDonald.
