A.G. Edwards brokerage firm has received recognition from three financial publications -- Worth Magazine, SmartMoney and the Wall Street Journal.
A.G. Edwards, headquartered at St. Louis, earned the title of "best full-service brokerage" by Worth Magazine's first-ever Reader's Choice Survey.
The survey, from 4,000 of the magazine's subscribers, cited reasons for giving A.G. Edwards high marks, including its stock-picking abilities, low-pressure approach and focus on serving the client's best interests.
A.G. Edwards also earned the No. 1 ranking among the nation's largest full-service brokerage firms in a survey that appeared in the December issue of SmartMoney magazine. That survey ranked the company highest for its stock research, breadth of production and commissions and fees.
Recent studies published in the Wall Street Journal found A.G. Edwards No. 1 for the one-year performance of its asset allocation strategy and No. 2 for the five-year performance of its Focus List of recommended stocks.
A.G. Edwards has more than 645 offices in the United States, including an office at 97 N. Kingshighway in Cape Girardeau.
